2027 Red Centre
Our Red Centre trips consist of a series of 3- to 6-night hikes combined with a number of day walks. By varying our trips according to the conditions at the time, we can make the most of what the region has to offer, visiting well-known highlights as well as lesser-known but equally interesting places that make the Red Centre special.
We vary the walks and itinerary according to conditions at the time. Weather, water levels and the condition of tracks and walking routes can all affect what is possible, and adapting our plans allows us to make the most of the conditions we find.
That means each trip can be different. We aim to take you to some of the Red Centre's best-known highlights, but also to places that receive far fewer visitors. Some days may take you through dramatic ranges and rocky gorges; others may lead to waterholes, unexpected pockets of vegetation or other less familiar parts of the landscape.
Rather than simply following a fixed sightseeing itinerary, we spend much of our time on foot, exploring beyond the places easily reached by vehicle. The result is a more varied experience of the Red Centre, combining some of its iconic landscapes with the quieter, less-visited places that help make this such a remarkable region.
We offer the three scheduled trips below and may add others if conditions are especially favourable.
