Overview

A remote, untracked adventure into pristine and magnificent ancient landscapes where very few venture combined with an opportunity to connect to ourselves more deeply through the practice of yoga.

The trip starts from Kununurra. We begin with a short 4WD trip from Kununurra to Carr Boyd Range. Once we get out of the car we are in untracked nature, setting off to explore stunning waterfalls, magnificent gorges and the wonder of sleeping under the stars as people have for thousands of years. The only evidence of the modern world is what we carry in our backpacks. Our drinking water comes from the pristine creeks we follow and swim in.

Itinerary

*This itinerary is subject to change
  • Pre-trip meeting (4th May)

Pre-trip meeting, 5.30 p.m on the 4th May, outdoor area, Kimberley Croc Motel.  You will need to organise accomodation in Kununrra for this night.

This meeting is important. If you cannot make the meeting, please advise us well in advance. If the flight schedule is changed so that those arriving that day cannot get to the meeting on time, we will delay the start of the meeting until the plane is in.

Please note AirNorth offers daily flights to Kununurra from Darwin. The sooner you book your flight the cheaper it usually is.

  • DAY 1 (5th May)

7am pick up from your accomodation. A 45 minute drive to the start of the walk. Around 2- 3 hours walking with packs  to the first camp. We may decide to have two nights at the first camp to offer time to settle into the landscape, the group and our yoga practice. Where we camp is beside a pristine pool and is close to some stunning waterfalls.

  • DAY 2- 6 (6th-10th May)

We will be travelling along a pristine springfed creek, swimming, exploring and engaging more deeply with our yoga practice.

  • DAY 7 (11th May)

We return to our original drop off point where we are picked up and transported back to Kununurra.
