Kakadu Helicopter For the first time in 20 years, we have permission to use a helicopter food drop. Unusually early rains closed the Jim Jim track two weeks befoer we were to put in a food drop for Kakadu Circle No. 1. Given the circumstances we applied for permission to use a helicopter food drop. 2011 trips The 2011 Trip List has had some major revisions. The April and June Pilbara trip pages and notes have just been updated. We've added an extra bus to give you more time walking in the best parts of the park. Other than the Pilbara, most prices have not yet been updated. Get in before the new ones go onto the website and you lock in the old price on trips where we provide the transport and a price midway between the old and new where we charter transport. |

Willis's Walkabouts is the only tour operator in the world who can take you bushwalking in both. Our 2010 South Africa trip will be the most adventurous in years. We are taking advantage of something very new and carrying our packs on a three night walk in Kruger. We've taken five of the available eight places on the Mphongolo Backpacking Trail. We can take other bookings for as long as other places remain available. The Availability Page has just been updated with a new special offer. If you've ever considered a visit to Africa, you really ought to have a look at the South Africa section of the newsletter. Tribute to Paul Benjafield Paul Benjafield, one of our best guides was killed in a diving accident on 24 April 2010. This page is dedicated to his memory. Red Centre or Green In a few exceptional years, such as 2010, the Red Centre turns green with new growth, waterholes fill and the land becomes carpeted in wildflowers. Years like these are exceptionally good times to visit. The photos on this page should give you some idea of the amazing difference. We now have a Facebook page where you can find photos of our guides and ongoing conversations between past and potential participants in our tours. Changed trip Kakadu Family Walk No. 2 will now start sometime between the 20th and 23rd of July as requested by the first family to book. If a one week trip sometime in that period would suit you, please get back to us as soon as possible. |

Trip Notes All of our PDF Trip Notes have now been updated for 2010. The Green Centre Very heavy rain in early January caused major flooding and filled the waterholes. The wildflowers should be exceptional in a couple of months. This could be the best year in a long time for a visit to the Centre. Our Tour Availability and Specials page has some new and some revised special offers. Possible menu change We are considering changing the existing menu to a drop down one.
