29 August 2011	Kakadu Super circle No. 1 — major updates The trip notes have been completely revised and photos added. A new photo gallery has gone onto the website. We strongly recommend that anyone considering this trip have a good look at both.
22 August 2011	Historical photos Daryl Bailey, my first paying client in Kakadu, has posted a photo gallery from the 1984 trip that started it all. We began in the southern part of the park and walked all the way through to Jabiru.
13 August 2011	Latest newsletter Newsletter 55 has now gone onto the website. The newsletter contains a link to a special Kakadu Bushwalking Survey. If few people take the time to fill in the questionnaire, it will be assumed that most people don't care. Please help! Your response will help ensure that bushwalking in Kakadu — and every other jointly managed park in Australia — has a real future.

19 April 2011	Updated trip lists The Kakadu, Kimberley and Red Centre trip lists have all had major updates. The PDF trip list has also been revised. The Availability and Special Offers page has some new special offers.
6 April 2011	Latest newsletter Newsletter 54 has now gone onto the website. Prices down Our two new trips both now have enough bookings for us to drop the price. Bungle Bungles: 21-29 April has dropped from $1995 to $1695. Durack River Fishing Special: 23 April - 6 May has dropped from $3800 to $3000.
1 March 2011	Kakadu Helicopter For the first time in 20 years, we have permission to use a helicopter food drop. Unusually early rains closed the Jim Jim track two weeks befoer we were to put in a food drop for Kakadu Circle No. 1. Given the circumstances we applied for permission to use a helicopter food drop. On 24 February, that permission came through. Please see the trip notes for dates and detailed information. Latest Newsletters Newsletter 53 and Newsletter 52 have both now gone onto the website.
30 January 2011	Kakadu Trips The Kakadu trip list has been completely revised and prices updated. A few other changes are coming including a new birdwatching trip. New Facebook Photo Album Kakadu Highlights No. 1, January 2011 This was one of the easiest wet season trips we've done in years. The even easier Kakadu Light trip in February will do short walks in both of the main areas shown in the album.
30 November 2010	Final Newsletter for 2010 Newsletter 51 is now on the website. This includes major changes to some trips. One is now exactly what owner Russell Willis most wants to do this wet season. New Facebook Photo Albums De Hoop and Surrounds. This was one of the easier sections on our recent trip to South Africa. The Harkerville Trail. Of all the trails I've done in south Africa, this is Russell's favourite.
13 October 2010	New Facebook Photo Albums Our Facebook site now has some new photo albums, some put up direct from South Africa. Click on the photos to see larger versions. Hold your cursor over the photo to get captions which tell the story. You should be able to see the photos without being a member of Facebook. The Green Centre. This small album shows the difference between a dry year and this exceptionally wet one. Cape of Good Hope. This album shows a bit of what we saw and did during our time in the Cape of Good Hope National Park in South Africa. The Cedarberg. This album shows scenes from our four day bushwalk in the Cedarberg and a few from the day after. If you have any problem viewing these albums, please let us know.
31 August 2010	2011 trips The 2011 Trip List has had some major revisions. The April and June Pilbara trip pages and notes have just been updated. We've added an extra bus to give you more time walking in the best parts of the park. Other than the Pilbara, most prices have not yet been updated. Get in before the new ones go onto the website and you lock in the old price on trips where we provide the transport and a price midway between the old and new where we charter transport.
28 August 2010	Another newsletter and a revised program Newsletter 50 is now on the website. People on the mailing list were offered a new trip which sold out in just 48 hours — another resaon to go onto our mailing list. The Kakadu Trips page has just been updated. Many dates have been changed. The prices have not yet been updated. Get in before the new ones go onto the website and you lock in the old price.
2 July 2010	Another newsletter and more Newsletter 49 is now on the website. It contains articles, information and a special offer you can't find anywhere else. Kruger and Kakadu. Willis's Walkabouts is the only tour operator in the world who can take you bushwalking in both. Our 2010 South Africa trip will be the most adventurous in years. We are taking advantage of something very new and carrying our packs on a three night walk in Kruger. We've taken five of the available eight places on the Mphongolo Backpacking Trail. We can take other bookings for as long as other places remain available. The Availability Page has just been updated with a new special offer. There are only five Australian trips still available from now through September. The Featured Trips Page has just been completely rewritten.
9 Nay 2010	Three new web pages — and more Newsletter 48 is now on the website. It contains articles, information and a special offer you can't find anywhere else. If you've ever considered a visit to Africa, you really ought to have a look at the South Africa section of the newsletter. Tribute to Paul Benjafield Paul Benjafield, one of our best guides was killed in a diving accident on 24 April 2010. This page is dedicated to his memory. Red Centre or Green In a few exceptional years, such as 2010, the Red Centre turns green with new growth, waterholes fill and the land becomes carpeted in wildflowers. Years like these are exceptionally good times to visit. The photos on this page should give you some idea of the amazing difference. We now have a Facebook page where you can find photos of our guides and ongoing conversations between past and potential participants in our tours. Changed trip Kakadu Family Walk No. 2 will now start sometime between the 20th and 23rd of July as requested by the first family to book. If a one week trip sometime in that period would suit you, please get back to us as soon as possible.

24 March 2010	Latest newsletter Our latest newsletter is now on the website. As with every newsletter, it contains an offer you can't find anywhere else. Our new Testimonial Page has had major updates including a whole new section added this month. The Availability Page has had another major revision, some trips now almost full, some gone others getting near to being "definite departures".

Our new Testimonial Page has quotes from many of our clients over the years along with new photos, many of which let you see what the people making the quotes looked like at the time The Availability Page has had a major revision, some trips now almost full, some gone others getting near to being "definite departures". The Gibb Road Gorges trip notes and itinerary have been revised to allow more time at the Mornington Wildlife Sanctuary.
16 January 2010	Trip Notes All of our PDF Trip Notes have now been updated for 2010. The Green Centre Very heavy rain in early January caused major flooding and filled the waterholes. The wildflowers should be exceptional in a couple of months. This could be the best year in a long time for a visit to the Centre. Our Tour Availability and Specials page has some new and some revised special offers. Possible menu change We are considering changing the existing menu to a drop down one. We'd appreciate your feedback. If you have a few minutes to spare, please have a browse using the drop down version, then let us know which you prefer. In the drop down version, holding the cursor over an item in the top menu gives you a list of clickable choices.

9 February 2009	New trip Drysdale River National Park: 29 May - 11 June This trip replaces the two Drysdale trips which had been in the program. The more who book, the less it costs each person. This is the first time we've been able to have a food drop so you need carry only a week's food at a time. We locked in an old price on the helicopter. This trip will never be this cheap again.
