Willis's Walkabouts in the Press
Last updated 26 February 2014.
This page indexes and links a number of stories that have appeared about Willis's Walkabouts in various publications.
This page is a work in progress. There are far too many tales for us to hope to add them all, but we should eventually have 10-15 listed.
- In September 2011, Wild magazine ran a two page article profiling owner & founder, Russell Willis. You can read it here.
- Territory Quarterly a magazine produced by the NT Government, ran an article about Russell and Willis's Walkabouts in their first edition for 2012.
- Pilbara: Karijini 2002
This is a slightly expanded version of a story that appeared in the Hobart Mercury.
- Vacations 1992
The Australian magazine Vacations was around for some years in the early 1990s. This is a scan of the page on which a general story about Willis's Walkabouts appeared in 1992.

- Out There 1994
Paddy Pallin produced a good outdoors magazine called Out There for three years in the early 1990s.
In the last issue in 1994, we got a good write up which extended to a second page.

- The first page gives some interesting personal background about Russell Willis.
The second page mentions a dream that never got off the ground. We did get bookings,
but never enough to run the trip.
- Tasmanian Motor News 1999
At the time the article was published, the RACT was the main marketing agent used by the NT Tourist Commission in Tasmania. Dianne Coon, who at that time was working for the Strahan Visitor Centre, had done a couple of our trips and wrote a nice article which was published in Motor News in 1999.
The article goes for another half page.
